Today in L.A as Mrs.E graded every students westing game notebook the students continued watching the movie of the book The Westing Game which everyone in the grade agrees is completely different than the book. If you missed school this day then listen to just how different the movie is than the book. To start, the title is Get a Clue not The Westing Game. Angela Wexler is marrying E.J Plum not Denton Deer. Chris Theodorakis’s hobby is computer games not birdwatching. This movie is okay but not like the book.

Please leave a comment telling which you prefer. A ds has two screens connected and a touch screen which is cool but the psp has music, internet, photo, and video capability. I read on wikipedia that the psp can download playstation 2 games on it. I personally think the psp is better but I want another persons opinion. These two handhelds are competitors. Both of these are off the shelves of stores faster than the blink of an eye.

Northern India is a colorful place. I learned this from a movie I watched in my social studies class. If you want proof to as why it is colorful listen to the fact that one of the worlds greatest mausoleums the Taj Mahal resides in North India in Agra. If you didn’t know what a mausoleum is, it is a tomb for someone that has passed on but nicer than a tomb. The Taj Mahal was built for the shaw (leader) of India’s wife by the shaw of India, with the help of countless other people. This splendor began being built in 1631 and took a stunning 22 years to complete. The Taj Mahal gained it’s title of being one of the best mausoleums in the world because of it’s marvelous craftsmanship and radiant jewel encrusted walls. More proof of North India being colorful is that it is home to the worlds most polluted river called the Ganges. This river is 1,557 miles of filth. Dead bodies and the ashes of dead bodies are thrown into it everyday. Despite this being the most polluted river in the world people bathe and wash their clothes in it. […]

The worlds oil supply is about to drop and drop dramatically. In an article called Crude Awakening by Emma Davy the problem of oil supply is discussed. It’s hard to imagine how many things use oil or have oil in them. Tennis rackets, trash bags, toothpaste, tires, trains, cars, chainsaws, boilers, and lawnmowers all use oil. When oil is first pumped out of the ground by oil wells it is black goop called crude oil or petroleum. Then it is sent to oil refineries where it is turned into the oil we use. U.S government scientists predict that there are 2.6 trillion barrels of oil left on and in the earth. One barrel is equal to 42 gallons. Not all of this oil is pumped. Some of it is still in the ground. Not all of the oil left is easy picking. Oil is in frozen ground in Siberia and oil is even at the floor of the 3 kilometer deep Caspian Sea. Disappointing in my oppinion is that the U.S makes up 4% of the earths population but uses 25% of the earths oil. Paul Roberts is the author of a book called The End of Oil. Robert says,” The U.S is energy illiterate.” To be more energy efficient Americans can look more into solar wind and geothermal power. Americans can also drive cars such as the minicat that runs on compressed air. I remember once seeing a minicat on the road. It was small,it wasn’t ugly, and it seemed to work fine.

In L.A. class today every student was assigned a scene from the play on J.R.R Tolkien. some students had to work together because there were more students than scenes. Next we were handed a large strip of colored lined paper. I mention that they were colored because most of the boys in my class including me were given a pink strip. On these strips of paper we wrote the main idea of the scene that we were assigned. I myself was wrote the main idea of scene ten. Our teacher then put the scenes on the board in order with her interesting circle magnets. Each person then read his/her scene in sequence. Following this our teacher reminded us all to bring our literature book and paper home over the weekend because our meetings will be on Monday. I hope everyone brought their literature book and paper home because if you didn’t you will more than likely lose points on your grade. I apologise to anyone who was counting on this scribe because it was late by two days.
